Mobile Device and SMS Notifications
Many of our customers use Mobile Device and SMS Notification technology to get alarm notifications from their SCADA systems. Any information about your mobile devices, and/or your phone number will never be shared with any third party for any reason. We will also never share your contact information or mobile device information with any third-party for marketing or promotional purposes.
Mobile and SMS Notifications are used solely for informational purposes related to alarms or other abnormal process conditions, and your account information required to receive mobile and SMS notifications will be managed by your system administrator.
Mobile Device and SMS Notification Opt-In
For users who require mobile device and SMS Notifications your account will be configured to receive notifications based on your employer’s policies and terms of service upon creation of your user account in their SCADA system. Your phone number and/or mobile device details will be initially populated by your system administrator along with your email and any other relevant information in your corporate user account.
Upon receiving the first notification you will be required to reply in the affirmative to consent to receiving SMS messages from Twilio Autodialer and that messaging and data rates may apply, the messaging frequency varies, and that they can unsubscribe at any time by deselecting the opt-in to receive SMS Alerts from their user options, or texting STOP to the number they are receiving messages from.
For mobile (non-SMS) push notifications the user will be required to enable notifications in the mobile app upon installation and first opening of the app. The user can use their phone’s notification configuration to stop notifications for the app, and/or work with their employer and/or their IT department to opt-out.
If the user opts-out their employer will be notified as this may mean they are out of compliance with company policy for their specific job duties. Because these are privately owned and operated systems designed to work with employees and contractors who will be managing systems for their day-to-day job duties and these systems will not send data to the general public company policy may override a specific user’s desire to receive notifications. Principle Petroleum LLC and any messaging services used to send notifications are not liable for any issues related to opting in or out of notifications should internal policies be violated should a user opt-out of notifications.
Should you wish to opt-out of any sharing any information in your corporate account you will also need to work with your employer, supervisor, and/or IT department if you wish to have your account removed from the system, or any personal information removed from your corporate account. Principle Petroleum LLC will not use any personally identifying information in any employee or user of the system’s account for any marketing or promotional purposes, and will not share any information with third parties for any reason.
